Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy is part of and incorporated into the Terms of Service and explains billing, trials, cancellation, and refunds for PresenceOS (the "Service").
1. Subscriptions and auto-renewal
Paid plans (currently Starter $49/mo, Growth $149/mo, and Pro $399/mo, plus applicable taxes) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our third-party payment processor and renew automatically until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize these recurring charges. Each plan includes monthly usage limits (content pieces and number of Connected Accounts) described on our pricing page.
2. Free trial
We offer a 7-day free trial. Key terms:
- The trial gives you access to evaluate the Service.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged the then-current plan fee.
- One trial per customer unless we state otherwise; we may modify or end trials at our discretion.
3. How to cancel
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing (which opens the payment provider's customer portal) or by contacting [support@presenceos.io]. When you cancel:
- your plan stops renewing;
- you keep access through the end of the current paid period (we do not pro-rate or refund the remainder of the period); and
- after the period ends, your account moves to the free tier and paid features (content generation, media rendering, and publishing) are disabled.
4. Refunds
- Monthly fees are non-refundable, including for partial periods and for periods in which you did not use the Service, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly stated here.
- Trials: to avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends. We generally do not refund a charge that occurs because a trial was not cancelled in time, except where required by law.
- Billing errors / duplicate charges: if you were charged in error, contact us within [30] days and we will investigate and correct genuine errors.
- Discretionary refunds: we may grant refunds or credits at our discretion (e.g., extended outages); doing so once does not obligate us to do so again.
5. Failed payments and downgrades
If a payment fails, we may retry and may suspend paid features until payment succeeds. You can downgrade at any time; downgrades take effect at the next renewal, and usage limits adjust accordingly.
6. Price and plan changes
We may change prices or plan limits on prospective notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal; continuing to use a paid plan after that constitutes acceptance.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits non-waivable rights you may have under consumer-protection or auto-renewal laws in your jurisdiction (for example, EU/UK withdrawal rights, the U.S. ROSCA/"click-to-cancel" rule, and California's Automatic Renewal Law). Where such rights apply, they control to the extent of any conflict. [Confirm treatment of EU/UK right of withdrawal for digital services that begin during the withdrawal period — see attorney notes.]
8. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute. Filing a chargeback for legitimate charges may result in suspension of your account.
